The Plant Floor Systems Build in Sequence Specialist is responsible for the leadership, coordination, design, documentation, build and implementation of a build in sequence strategy for Stellantis North America projects.
The Build in Sequence specialist will accomplish this through coordination of regular meetings with all stake holders, maintain a process layout of all centers of the plant, manage an action register / supporting file, define targets / milestones and provide a documented / (Approved) Build in Sequence Strategy for the project.
Additional, responsibilities will include the documentation of a step-by-step process on creating a build is sequence strategy and assist in the development of associated training required to manage and maintain the Build in Sequence strategy.
**The Build in Sequence Specialist will be responsible for**:
Lead in the development and validated build in sequence strategy
Governance of software and hardware floor revisions supporting a BS strategy
Support upper level (IT) interfaces to plant floor, required for BS strategy
Direct diagnostics and FIS initiatives to support the applicable BS strategy
Maintain the documented BS strategy via plant and area layouts
Specification documentation through associated lessons learned
Review and approve necessary changes to build in sequence strategies
Project Management
Support in establishing project timing
Supervise resources
Monitor projects to meet their technical and business objectives
Develop advanced training and standard processes
Lead and schedule weekly build in sequence meetings, discussing status and open issues of implementing build in sequence at the defined Plant
Manage and distribute issue action register
Perform the duties as a liaison between Plant, VPE, CARE and ICT in addressing questions communicating status and pursuing issue resolution.
Support the plant implementation through documenting all implementation procedures.
Ensure all project deliverables are provided 60 days after J1
Hardware / Network and Software Design Leadership
Hardware and Network Infrastructure - Activities shall include the support of but not limited to:
Create controls hardwire and network design
Identify controls components (BOM) required for purchase
Purchase, install and configure defined components
Work with network drop installer in defining, installing, configuring, and debugging network drops
Provide a WPE, GA, Paint and Conveyor shop network connectivity diagram (e.g.
identifying device connection points and associated IP address assignments)
Creating, Directing and checking system integrators WD (wiring diagram) schematics redlines and updates

Software (Logic and HMI) - Activities shall include the support of but not limited to:
Create, install and debug controls logic and HMI screen designs
Define and establish applicable Produced and Consumed interlocks between required systems
Work closely with ICT defined sequence build management team in using defined AVI control bytes to properly manage removal/insertion request of the mainline parts and all the associated subassembly parts (method 1 - system level and method 2 & 3 - shop level/multiple systems) and update shift register data (PLC logic and HMI screens) at system level and provide the specific build management requirements data to FIS for visibility at shop level
Define, develop, create and test applicable diagnostics and provide documentation - OPL recovery procedure

**Plant Support - Activities shall include but not limited to**:
Provide plant production support for applicable shifts
Attend all VPE and Plant meetings to help address debug issues related to build in sequence functionality
Work closely with Plant Build in sequence team in educating team members on functionality of Method 1, 2 and 3 functionalities.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or equivalent or HSD with 10+ years of experience in an automation environment
Minimum 5+ years of engineering experience in an automation environment
Experienced with other manufactures Build in Sequence strategies
Strong skills and experience with Rockwell PLCs (CLx and GLx) Studio 5000 suite (Logix designer and RSview Studio ME);
Ethernet IP, Devicenet and CIP Safety experience required
Strong working knowledge of Stellantis ICT systems (e.g.
AVI, PFCS, Broadcast, FIS, etc.)
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Master's degree
PM (Project Manager) or equivalent certification
Strong understanding of the mechanical process of building a vehicle in an automated assembly plant (BIW, PAINT and GA)
Strong understanding of the applicable quality checks required in each center of the plant (Insert / Pull-offs)
Strong understanding of the MLM strategies for an assigned plant / project
Strong understanding of ICT manufacturing systems (AVI, FIS, PFS)
Strong understanding of Automated Controls (Hardware and Software)
Strong understanding of design CAD software (A
