Stant is hiring for a **Plastic Commodity Buyer** located in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico Plant at the Purchaising area.

**Buyer Key Functions**:
- Working close with the goal of expectations of meeting cost savings objectives
- Potential Knowledge of Resourcing of components and knowledge of activities within Quality Expectation
- Understanding of Logistics costs associated to Global Purchasing supply chain / understanding of Logistics and Inco Terms of Logistics
- Having an general understanding of currency exchange conversions
- Being able to communicate & show potential opportunities associated to knowledge of the supply chain for optimization
- Willing and able to be mentored of both Strategic and Tactical Purchasing Objectives
- Support all activities associated to cost savings objectives along with being able to work with limited supervision to achieve expectations.
- Being able to understand of a Financial Capacity of costs.
- Able to understand capacity constraints of the commodity and the plastics commodity
- Able to understand the need of Escalation in meeting the common goals of the commodity in supply and demand
- Be willing to learn of the commodity along with reporting out in information supporting both Strategic and Tactical in Automotive formatting
- Be a Self Starter and willing to asking questions to the management teams respectfully.
- Supportive of all teams and support both the Plant and Corporate meetings
- Able to flexible in hours daily along with being able to travel in other locations if required to do so
- Knowledge and understanding of preparing Purchase Orders
- Have a general understanding of process of plastic molding and tooling (molds)
**Qualifications**:
- 3 to 5 years in Purchasing Plastic Components along with some tooling knowledge
- Understanding Automotive Prints.
- Drawings associated to the purchase of Plastic Components along with understanding raw materials (resins).
- ERP systems - PLEX preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A) from four-year College or university; with minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to write professional routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively and professionally before suppliers or employee groups within the organization.
- Organized and detail-orientated.
- Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
