Job Description: PLC Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced PLC Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Allen-Bradley Logix, Vision Systems, and HMI/SCADA systems.
This role involves designing, programming, and troubleshooting automation systems to support manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Responsibilities: Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using Allen-Bradley Logix platforms. Develop and integrate HMI/SCADA systems to monitor and control automated equipment. Work with Vision Systems for quality control, detection, and inspection applications. Support the commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of control systems. Perform testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on automation hardware and software. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to implement automation solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including PLC programs, logic diagrams, and system manuals. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all automation processes. Provide technical support for equipment during system installations, upgrades, and modifications. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reliability. Requirements: 5 years of experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, and control systems. Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley Logix platforms. Experience with Vision Systems for automation and quality applications. Proficiency in developing and integrating HMI/SCADA systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field (preferred). Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with networking protocols and industrial communication (EtherNet/IP, Modbus). Experience with control panel design and AutoCAD for electrical drawings. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
