.PMC MANAGERDescription:Oversee a company's planning, inventory and purchasing operations. Collaborate with engineers and designers to determine the materials needed to complete manufacturing or construction projects according to specifications, research vendors for those materials, then order them. Monitors a department inventory and production schedule. Maintains optimally efficient inventory of production materials. Creates planning studies and generates reports about new programs, plans, and regulations**Responsibilities**:- Oversee production planners to prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay to customer orders-Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand to comply with customer orders-Developing production schedules based on demand forecasts to meet customer requirements-Coordinating with suppliers to ensure that adequate materials are available, and developing relationships with new suppliers as needed-Communicating with other departments within the organization regarding production schedules and deadlines-Monitoring inventory levels and adjusting production accordingly to avoid overproduction-Interpreting and implementing company policies regarding production scheduling to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations-Reviewing production schedules and labor forecasts to determine whether additional staff will be required during certain times of the year-Oversee records of materials used during production to ensure efficient use of resources and to identify waste or loss-Coordinating the purchase of raw materials for products from suppliers based on inventory levels, price fluctuations, and other factors-Coordinating with shipping department to arrange for delivery of finished products to customers-Oversees a company's needs for inventory and supplies by managing vendor relationships, assessing supply needs, and coordinating delivery schedules.Hires and trains new staff while planning and coordinating the work of purchasing agents and Planners.Evaluating suppliers on the basis of delivery speed for their products and services, price and quality-Interviewing vendors and visiting supplier distribution centers and plants to examine and learn about prices, products and services.Analyzing financial reports, price proposals and other information used to determine reasonable pricing-Negotiating contracts for the organization and working out agreements with suppliers for product delivery-Meeting with vendors and staff to discuss unacceptable and defective products and establish corrective action-Evaluating and monitoring contracts to ensure suppliers and vendors are complying with terms and conditions-Maintaining and reviewing records of inventories, product performance, deliveries, costs and items purchased**Qualifications**:- Planning/Purchasing Manager education requirements:- Bachelors degree in Science, Business or any other related field
