As a **Lead Instrument Engineer, **you will support Chief Engineer to manage instrument department, and act as Lead Engineer for projects to support strategic business growth.

**What you'll do**
The role responsibilities include:
- Carry out the Technical Integrity role for the discipline
- Ensure all design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards.
- Develop and maintain a quality design threshold for the discipline through use of understandable quality procedures
- Technical direction, advice and control of the work.
- Liaison with client discipline representatives to establish technical direction where not provided by codes & standards
- Co-ordination and preparation of input to Essential Documents, as defined by the client/ contract. Where responsibility for update of the Master Documents is handed to the Lead Discipline Engineer, procedures shall be put in place to maintain document integrity.
- Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the CSG, etc
- Assisting asset/client Lead Project Engineers in the definition of the engineering work in any project, design approach and criteria, procedures for engineering work and timely production of deliverables
- Complete a complex design activities including simulation
- Liaison with other discipline Lead engineers on technical issues and engineering matters
**What you'll have**
- Bachelor of Engineering (Instrument & Control Engineering)
- In depth knowledge of international codes and standards applicable to the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry i.e. IEC, API, ISA, ISO, ANSE, ASME etc.
- Attendance at HAZOP and SIL assessments and a good understanding of safety system selection and instrument protective function design
- Detailed understanding of control system architecture and development of control system specifications and design, including interfaces to packaged and electrical equipment
- Experienced in advanced instrument technologies such as critical service control valves, process analysers, Foundation Fieldbus and other digital control networks
- Knowledgeable in hazardous area protection techniques
- In depth knowledge of field instrument and fire and gas detector selection and installation.
- Given the necessity of interacting with Thai-speaking clients, Thai language is essential.
