Principal Product Manager - Tech, Devices Retail TechnologyCome lead product development for one of the primary sources of revenue for the Amazon Devices business.
The Amazon Devices Retail Technology org is responsible for a number of critical customer experiences and foundational technology leveraged across all Amazon devices teams. This includes supply chain management, promotions, and device subscriptions.
We are seeking a talented product manager with technical skills and passion ranging from large scale distributed systems to enhancing the customer experience on Amazon.com. This is a high visibility role that will require working with several product, marketing, and engineering teams across the device business. You will provide thought leadership, define the strategy, build the roadmap, and be the point of contact for new initiatives across the device business. To be successful in this role you will need strong technical skills, business acumen, analytical skills, and be able to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilitiesDefine the long term strategy and vision for device subscriptions, leveraging new technologies to deliver features to our customers.Think big and continuously pitch new product ideas.Drive requirement definition, customer experience design, product roadmap and prioritization.Define and own the business metrics and KPIs for our products and services.Partner with each device team to understand their customer needs and influence adoption of new services.Analyze the business opportunity to onboard and launch new subscription businesses.Simplify and reduce the effort of Go to Market opportunities to bring new features and services to customers.A day in the life
Our team owns Amazon Devices perpetual inventory systems for the offline retail channel and beyond, specializing in bulk fulfillment. We also work with Finance, Tax and Accounting to solve the largest financial record keeping gaps across Devices and Services. We work with reseller and stakeholder facing products that are leveraged for initiatives that directly impact Devices goals of increasing device sales around the world. As a leader on the team, you will spend your time working with our SDMs and engineering teams, and acting as a technical leader. You will play a key role in guiding the development of software products and features from the ground up. You will work with Product Managers, Accounting, Finance, Sales and Logistics partners to prioritize and execute projects which provide impactful results for the Devices Offline Retail business. About the teamYou will be part of the Devices Retail Inventory and Financial Record Keeping Tech (DRIFT) team that is made up of 5 separate technical teams and is expanding areas of impact across the Devices organization. You will work with other leaders in the organization to grow the DRIFT team, helping to define and deliver a technical strategy and vision that requires large scale solutions, solving ambiguous customer journeys and setting up new mechanisms, all providing high customer impact, immense career growth and job satisfaction with a healthy work-life balance. You will have a cross-team impact, influence, and scope to the next level. Your initiatives will include key org-level goals having visibility and reporting to executive leadership on a regular basis.
