- Overall accountability for the deployment and support of systems and platforms for one or more departments.
- Develops and maintains platform architecture in collaboration with the platform vendors, infrastructure architects, and stakeholders.
- Serves as the technical lead for implementation, upgrade, migration, and decommission projects.
- Establishes platform system administrations process and best practices and works with the support organization to ensure appropriate support is provided.
- Reviews vendor feature roadmaps, tracks release plans and features, and advises management on upgrade planning and change management.
- Plans and implements tools, utilities, and reports that help monitor the platform and continuously assess usage and issues.
- Collaborates with key business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Analyzes and solves operational and optimization issues.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to management that inform them of issues and opportunities with our systems and platforms.
- Provides expert level support for deployed solutions, interfacing with support staff and helping them to resolve issues within defined SLAs
