Join us.**About the team**:Our privacy-legal team provides key support for all ByteDance's innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated privacy-legal guidance and support. The ByteDance team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the Global Privacy team. One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional privacy-legal support for privacy matters in the Latin America. This position will be part of the Global Privacy team, and will partner and collaborate with the American, AEM, and European Privacy teams focused on Latin America, as well as Global Legal, Litigation and Public Policy colleagues. The following describes the responsibilities and requirements for the role.**Responsibilities**:General management of privacy for Latin America, reporting to the Privacy Counsel Lead, including:- Handle legal-related privacy programs for Latin America; - Handle regulatory matters related to privacy in Latin America, in accordance with applicable laws and our platform policies.- Supervise and partner with outside counsel to ensure that all aspects of the company's privacy-legal representation are of the highest quality, including the day-to-day running of matters, overall strategy, written work, and oral advocacy.- Identify potential privacy risk and counsel the business to minimize exposure.- Support the company's global strategy for privacy actions.**Qualifications**:**Must have**:- Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Latin America; - 5+ years or more of professional experience, with focus on privacy; - Have foundational knowledge of Spanish Speaking LatAm countries and respective data privacy laws, in particular in Argentina, Colombia and Mexico
