This role is crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining our automation systems, ensuring seamless integration with IT infrastructure, and optimizing our production processes.**Key Responsibilities****- Design and Maintenance**: Develop and maintain automation systems, including PLCs and SCADA/HMI systems.**- Integration**: Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with IT infrastructure and other plant operations.**- Optimization**: Enhance production processes and improve plant efficiency.- **Troubleshooting**: Lead troubleshooting and maintenance of automation systems, assisting electrical personnel as needed.**- Downtime Reduction**: Implement strategies to minimize plant downtime related to automation systems.**- Commissioning**: Plan and coordinate the commissioning of new automation systems and integrate them with existing systems.- **Operational Support**: Provide direct support during normal operations and planned shutdowns.- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure systems meet current safety standards and implement changes safely, with proper testing and documentation.**- Project Management**: Manage projects related to the installation, upgrade, or maintenance of automation equipment.**- Documentation and Training**: Document processes, PLC code changes, and provide training to electrical personnel and other staff.- **Predictive Maintenance**: Review equipment health and predict future failures, proposing replacements for obsolete equipment.**Required Qualifications****- Educational Background**: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.**- PLC Programming**: Proficiency with PLCs from Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, and GE.**- SCADA/HMI Systems**: Expertise in programming and maintaining SCADA/HMI systems, particularly WinCC and GE Cimplicity.**- Process Control Experience**: Experience in process control engineering, preferably within the oil and gas industry.- **Networking and IT**: Strong understanding of networking, IT infrastructure, servers, and computer hardware integration.**- Safety Standards**: Knowledge of current safety standards and practices related to automation systems.- **Project Management**: Ability to manage projects, including planning, coordination, and execution
