JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the product introduction and sustaining engineering functions in the SMT and/or Final assembly areas. Fulfill to responsibilities documented in EMS. Initiates continual process improvement within IATF 16949 and follows environmental requirements within ISO 14001. Receives mentoring and coaching from the Focused Factory Manager and future goals. It is self-driven and adheres to all company policies. To fulfill the roles and responsibilities related to the protection of the environment.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures proper introduction of new products through Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Develops guidelines for new equipment and / or enhance current documentation
- Reports and coordinates the resolution of issues found during Process Validation runs
- Designs and evaluates tools and fixtures required for manufacturing
- Provides engineering support to production to ensure attainment of quality, delivery and cost objectives
- Applies Six Sigma techniques to resolve problems and achieve continuous improvement
- Defines process controls that will reduce variation and improve process capability
- Responsible for meeting expected CPk on equipment
- Evaluates and coordinates engineering changes (ECRs) in the manufacturing area
- Creates and maintains operating procedures and work instructions
- Evaluates and recommends new equipment to add capacity or improve quality performance
- Researches new technology for future programs
- Technical support on equipment when maintenance requires it
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electromechanical engineering or related scientific discipline or equivalent years of experience
EXPERIENCE:
- Three or more years of experience in Electronic equipment and / or SMT manufacturing process
KNOWLEDGE:
- Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards.
- English (70%) Plus
