**Job Description** GENERAL DESCRIPTION**
- Responsible to implement, maintain and improve the manufacturing process, ensure technical availability of equipment in all shifts.
- Fulfil Value Stream KPI's: IDC, FOR, Technical Down time.
- New product introduction, equipment and process definition, acquisition, validation and installation on production environment.
- Develop process and instructions for processes, write material to train technicians, and processes for maintenance: Preventive, predictive and corrective.
**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Analysis and solution of problems related with processes and test equipment within manufacturing areas.
- Responsible for PLC and HMI software development.
- Debug of software and systems, including PLC, automation, and control.
- Responsible for the creation of preventive maintenance routines for machinery and tooling.
- Responsible for the design and/or integration of hardware, software, electrical systems, and communication systems based on reliable and robust sources for the manufacturing areas.
- Responsible for the definition, procurement, and registration of spare parts of processes under responsibility.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing areas in downtime events related to the processes under responsibility.
- Responsible for the assurance of processes free from safety risks.
- Definition, procurement, installation, validation, and start-up of new machinery.
- Technical support during the launch phase of new products.
- Definition and implementation of measures to improve the processes under responsibility (e.g. metrics such as cycle time, up time, quality).
- Be an active member of international multi-disciplinary teams_._
- Develop semi-automated processes in an automotive electronics environment.
**Qualifications** EDUCATION & ACADEMIC BACKGROUND**
- Bachelor's degree** **in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Digital Systems and Communications Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Bilingual (Advanced English & Spanish)
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- At least 3 years of experience in process engineering.
- Experience in analog and digital electronics.
- Interpretation of electrical diagrams.
- Interpretation of pneumatic and mechanical diagrams.
- Analysis and interpretation of electrical failures / SW / HW.
- Experience in creation and interpretation of capability and MSA studies.
- Experience in programming languages (structured language is preferred), PLC programming.
- Experience working with databases.
- Experience in problem solving techniques.
- Experience in semi-automated or fully automated manufacturing lines.
- Experience in collaborative robots.
- Experience in press-in systems.
- Experience in automated dispensing systems.
- Experience in vision systems.
- Experience in datamatrix and barcode reading systems.
- Knowledge in lean manufacturing.
