o Bachelor's degree, Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline.
o 3 - 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
o Knowledge of engineering and unit operations, such as basic chemistry, heat and material balances, mechanical and physical/chemical separations and energy management.
o At least three years of related work experience in food industry or similar manufacturing business preferred.
o Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Access, Teams, Visio, Project, Outlook, CAD) and Windows 10 proficiency
o Ability to communicate across functional lines at all levels.
o Multi-tasking and time management skills.
o Decision making ability, planning and time management skills.
o Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
o Manage assignments in accordance with Ingredion Engineering Standards.
o Develop, evaluate and seek approval for process modifications and optimization programs to improve the efficiency and capability of plant processes.
o Assist Operations and Maintenance with troubleshooting of processing equipment and increase process reliability using root cause analysis.
Required to be on-call 24/7, Availability for travelling among Mexico Ingredion Facilities.
o Effective verbal and written communications skills.
o Experience with P&ID's, PLC and ladder diagrams in troubleshooting or design would be a plus
As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
o Work with engineering service providers, contractors and vendors to specify equipment and installations.
o Ensure regulatory and company compliance with all applicable standards, procedures, and best working practices.
o Provide troubleshooting assistance to the plant.
o Work with the production, and other plant teams to improve safety, product quality, and production efficiencies.
