Requisition ID: 37876- Job Location(s): Reynosa, MXDanfoss is seeking a Process Engineer for our Machining department in Reynosa, Mexico This position will report direct to the Senior Operations Manager and Indirect Machining and Maintenance Leaders. Key responsibilities include development of programs to machine castings and selection of tooling required to fabricate parts to documented specifications and tolerances.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Improvement: Key contributor in the RCPS process with role "Problem Solver". Investigate issues (production losses, quality problems, scrap, broken tools, safety risks, hazards, injuries, etc.), problem-solve, and implement and verify solutions to eliminate recurrences.
- Project Implementation: Receive hands-offs from Engineering: Give input on engineering changes, assist with implementation, and confirm changes are complete and fully functional.
- Mentor: Teach and guide Improvement Specialists and others, both technically and with problem-solving, presentations, project management, systems, and documentation.
- Production support and permanent resolution: Assist resolving day-to-day production issues and follow up to eliminate the need for your involvement in similar future issues. Troubleshooting daily issues, fixing equipment, or giving advice / instructions may be called for, but should be at the direction of the Team Leader or Manager. Eliminating your involvement includes eliminating the issue from recurring (RCPS), and giving others the tools resolve the issues themselves, using visual aids, SOP's, training, etc.
- SME: Subject matter expert in machining equipment, processes, and controls of the factor
**Background & Skills**:
- BA in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience
- CAD/CAM Knowledge
- G and M code programming
- GD&T experience (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- College preparation in engineering or Tool & Die or equivalent work experience.
- Background in machining areas
- Mori Seiki Knowledge (preferent)
- Experience with Robots (FANUC, ABB, KUKA)
- Experience with a semi-automatic process
