**Job Summary**:
As a Die Casting Process Engineer, you will be responsible for improving die casting operations within the manufacturing facility. Your role will involve leading/managing personnel, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and implementing safety measures to achieve efficient and effective production outcomes.
**Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)**:
- Oversee and manage the die casting process from initial design through production.
- Ensure that casting processes meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams for process improvement projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Close training gaps the Team may have.
- Design and develop molds, dies, and tooling for die casting operations.
- Collaborate with toolmakers and designers to optimize tooling for efficiency and quality.
- Make sure all designs meet the budgetary requirements.
- Meet all project dates.
- Develop and implement die books.
- Select appropriate metal alloys for die casting based on product requirements.
- Optimize casting parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, cycle times) to improve productivity and reduce defects.
**Preferred Skills and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in die casting operations, including process design, tooling development, and quality management.
- Strong knowledge of metal alloys, casting principles, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for die and mold design.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot process issues effectively.
- Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- English proficiency is a must.
