We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Engineering team.
Based in Tetla - Mexico.
Main responsibilities:
- Generate the process sheet of the products to be manufactured and to carrying out tests for prototypes on the different quality characteristics for the cables to certify, coming the information from the specs and cable design.
- Adjusting the equipment for manufacturing cables and to verifying compliance with the standards and specifications that must be met for each product.
- Training the operator in the operation of productive equipment and in the inspection tests that must be carried out on process.
- Solve the causes that originate that the manufacturing processes do not meet with the standard production including row material problems.
- Verifying that the use of the process sheet is appropriate, correcting deviations, adjusting the production conditions where appropriate and modify of the process sheet when applicable
- Develop improvement projects with the Six Sigma and Lean Sigma Methodology, by analyzing the root causes of process variations, data collection, measurement of variations, holding work meetings with teams to analyze causes and standardize improvements.
- Ensure that operators are trained to handle inspection, testing and production equipment, providing the necessary training to the operator or instructor, to ensure that the product produced meets the quality parameters established in the process sheet
- Participate in the implementation of new projects for change, modification, and installation of production equipment, identifying and collecting information, to generate the corresponding process sheet and identify the new process conditions and evaluating the new safety and hygiene conditions.
Who are we looking for?
- University degree preferably in Industrial / Electric / Electronic / Metallurgical or Materials Engineering.
- Advanced level of at English written and spoken.
- High analytical skills, proactive approach.
- At least 3 years of experience in cable manufacturing
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
