Primary Purpose:
This role will immerse into specific tools, practices, supporting standards and metrics (PE KPIs, tracking, regular reports). This individual must achieve a thorough knowledge to drive "tools and skills culture of product engineering". This role will fundamentally contribute to, and provide approvals for, some key engineering processes, including DFMEAs, problem solving, knowledge transfer, knowledge management and training support. This position must understand the knowledge and training gaps that exist in the region and partner with PE leaders to close those gaps. Cross functional interaction is also critical as engineering processes must be continually updated and adapted to ensure alignment with the expectations and processes of other functional groups.
Primary Duties:
Responsible for pursuing training courses from SMEs and participating in second party assessments. Expected to be recognized as a coach, and has the opportunity to train others.
Responsible for critical support of engineering processes, including DFMEA tools and problem solving, knowledge transfer, knowledge management.
Provide expertise to the regional teams.
Drive product engineering and skills development expertise and standardization within Region.
Support Regional Leaders with a deeper understanding of the tools, skills and standards.
Support consistent application of the "tools and skills" maturity model and supporting global standards, and adopt the methods, mindsets and behaviors required – become a role model of the "tools and skills culture of product engineering".
Support tools and skills assessments and implementation.
Be calibrated himself and help regional leaders become calibrated to the tools and skills standards.
Provide assistance to Engineers if specific technical questions arise during the region self-assessment.
Directly partner with the PE COE Leader in the completion of the regional assessment to provide expertise on the specific tools / skills.
Directly partner with the PE COE Leader, Regional Leaders, and Engineers to develop robust action plans to achieve maturity level progression.
Help Region leadership drive implementation of tools and skill model.
Become a role model by visibly "Walk the talk, and talk the walk."
Participate in Continuous Improvement of maturity model.
Partner with the PE COE Leader of Americas and our Global and Regional Leaders to develop and improve objectives and standards of tools and skills.
Maintain a vigilant lookout for best practices and behaviors. Provide feedback to the PE COE Leader for recommended changes to the Americas maturity model.

Job Requirements:
Education: BS in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive engineering or relevant industry experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience in an Automotive, Systems, Battery, and/or Plant Processes.
Skills: Ability to collaborate and communicate openly to Clarios team-based, matrix environment. Experience preferred in Automotive, Systems, Battery, and/or Plant Processes. Project management skills and experience. Knowledge about: Applications, products, engineering processes, manufacturing processes, material and product tests, D/P-FEMA, Control Plan, PPAP, APQP, K-T, 8D, Six Sigma tools. Ability to work closely with senior executives in a cross functional team and across cross functional boundaries. Communicate with impact to influence positive behaviors. Travel expectation is up to 20 - 30%.
