Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversityThis position is an integral part of the supply management team working closely with Site Leaders, Commodity Leaders, Region Material Leaders and buyers to maximize the effectiveness, compliance, and management of the Strategic and tactical Sourcing function. The role will drive strategic direction, ensuring alignment cross functionally within the Honeywell Matrix structure. Candidate will drive and implement process improvements, system enhancements and continue to lead / improve productivity and efficiency within this function.
Goals – Drive key metrics including OTTR, working capital, productivity and Supply base optimization.
Achieve agreed metric / goals for site with Sourcing leader.
Key Responsibilities: Process requisitions, place purchase orders, expedite and track orders in support of Procurement and Operations.Perform material planning activities for parts sourced from External suppliers.Maintain ERP material data as directed by Strategic Sourcing, maintain data integrity in One Source (Purchasing Database).Maintain and assure current order status information to keep supplier on-time to request info valid.Effectively expedite orders to prevent line down situations and air transportation costs.Manage rescheduling of direct materials as required.Resolve all invoice holds in a timely manner to prevent credit holds.Manage complaints to suppliers (delivery issues and/or quality).Be a driver in new product introduction initiatives and obsolescence management, tracking key milestones to enable successful execution of the program.Develop site sourcing strategy, sourcing/negotiations, global/regional budget execution and interface with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Lead supplier localization efforts in collaboration sourcing project plans and direction of Strategic Sourcing Manager for Transitions.Interface with Global Commodity Manager and align site strategy with Global Commodity Strategies.Provide direction and develop strategic road maps with HPS global Sourcing leader.Identify appropriate cost reduction ideas to meet or exceed HPS one- and 5-year goals; drive implementation.Support Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) objectives on Cost reduction, Supply Chain Lead time reduction, working capital, and quality and delivery improvement.Lead/support in-sourcing and out-sourcing strategies. Lead/support transition of projects from other sites.Manage and execute supplier and operational issues, including but not limited to engineering change management, contract maintenance, parts availability, quality and launch support.Use Honeywell tools and processes to drive fact-based decision making.Implement HPS standard Contract Terms and Conditions with suppliers.Promote early supplier involvement of approved suppliers to optimize quality and produce ability at lowest cost per program requirements.Escalation points to resolve supplier performance issues.Ensure selected supply base is meeting HPS initiatives for cycle time reduction, productivity, quality and delivery.Communicate any Transitions to the factory and receive buy-in for implementation timeline.Responsible for achieving business objectives: productivity, defect reduction, lead-time reduction, on-time delivery, and new supplier launches.Must have requirements: Bachelor's In Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or Operations.Minimum 1 year experience in managing global projects, NPI, PIPO.2 to 5 years of Procurement experience.Minimum 1 year experience on Supplier VMI and productivity saving contracts.Nice to have: CPIM and/or CPM certification desired.Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification desired.Leadership - strong managerial skills to work across all functions and levels of an organization; ability to lead change; effectively establishes high performing teams and role models high performance standards.Communication and Interpersonal - crisp verbal skills for velocity plus effective listening skills; effective facilitation skills; demonstrates high energy and models behaviors to motivate the team.Execution - persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem-solving skills.Strategic Thinking - ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.E-source experience is a plus.Additional InformationCategory: ProcurementExemptHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
