Overview:
Under the guidance of the Site Manager and in conjunction with the Overall Project Manager, the Procurement Coordinator will oversee and manage overall supply chain operations - maximize efficiency, reduce risk, and minimize cost of organization's supply chain. Work effectively with the plant operations teams, engineering, and accounting to deliver on customer (both internal and external) demands.
**Responsibilities**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES**:
- Create, plan, and execute RFQs with suppliers following stakeholders' requests.
- Negotiate commercial terms (price, delivery date, payment terms).
- Conduct opportunity analysis for low risk and/or low value spend management and scout for better suppliers.
- Perform & interpret spend analytics to identify best available market price for the ongoing project.
- Place orders, generate PO's from ERP system and confirm PO's for components, packaging, raw materials and equipment.
- Post inventory adjustments, review lot number issues, and work with accounting to resolve discrepancies in ERP systems.
- Implement procedures for department.
- Receive purchase requisitions through an ERP system, review to assure item(s) is properly specified and pertinent information is provided necessary for proper placement of order.
**Environmental, Safety, Risk & Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance to Competitive Tender Process for all buys requests.
- Maintain supplier ISO performance files and non-conforming materials logs.
- Maintain files and records, in compliance to; IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), Internal Financial Controls (SOX - Sarbanes Oxley / UK Corporate Governance Code) and ISO - International organization for Standardization regulations.
- Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and with Morgan EHS Guidelines. Guidelines include but not limited to participation in required EHS training and use of proper PPE. Employees are responsible for reporting hazardous conditions and job-related injuries or illness to their supervisor.
Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, supply chain management, business administration or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing along with manufacturing operations knowledge.
- Exhibited exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, displaying strong interpersonal skills.
- Work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
- Must be bilingual. ntermediate to advanced in English.
**Desired Experience & Background**:
- Background in manufacturing facilities, CNC machining preferred.
- Familiar with Mexico IMMEX program.
- Proficient with any major ERP system, Microsoft D365 preferred.
- Knowledge of negotiation tactics and sourcing specific machinery, tools, materials.
- Previous experience working with a team either as a direct supervisor or influencer.
- Previous experience building supply chain and procurement systems and procedures.
