**Position Overview**The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing sourcing strategies for Electromechanical.
Provide leadership, strategic thinking and expertise for hardware electronics and electromechanical categories to advance Baxter Global Business Units (GBUs) mission agenda "Sustain and Save Lives".Responsible for supplier relationship management and risk assessment.
Develop and Implement appropriate risk mitigation plans.
Responsible for negotiations and contracting.
Develop robust category strategies that reduce supply base, reduce dependence on single/sole sourced suppliers, deliver continuity of supply, and provide for annual cost reductions.
Deliver annual VIP (cost reductions) and PPV objectives at category and plant levels.
Jointly, with supplier quality, address supplier quality issues timely.Effectively manages long-term relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's Degree; MBA desirable.
CPM preferred.- Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience in electronic sourcing.- High level technical aptitude.
Engineering, Electronic or other Technical training.- Ability to think strategically and globally.- Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and expectations.- In-depth category knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components along with complex pricing arrangements and supplier profitability.- Strong ethical background.- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal, analytical and presentation skills.- Strong decision maker surrounding multi-million dollar contracts and agreements and major policies.- Risk management skill set required to drive innovative solutions and problem solving analysis and resolution.- Seasoned negotiator with knowledge of cost tools such as material breakdown, benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering, complex RFQ's and innovative purchasing tools.- Strong project management skills to drive projects to closure.- Knowledge of root cause analysis, problem solving, continuous improvement, corrective and preventative action, product quality assurance systems and supplier performance development and evaluation is helpful.- Travel of 5-10% including global travel
