This position will be responsible for leading and supporting procurement excellence and driving best value for the categories under management, with key focus on cost, quality, and service. This role involves project management across several functions, business units and global sites and collaborating closely with business partners at the senior level to define priorities, establish strategic and tactical objectives, support the development of a multi-year category roadmap ensuring accurate alignment of requirements and supply base. Additionally, the leader in this role will continuously and proactively investigate new suppliers/technologies/etc. as inputs into our value funnel, supporting our organizational goals while helping to improve patient outcomes.
**What you'll be doing**
- Collaborate with internal partners and use these relationships to support the implementation of category strategies, pipeline items and short/medium/long-term goals to support the ongoing delivery of value pipeline.
- Perform in depth spend analysis and market analysis on targeted areas of spend.
- Support your supervisor in the development and execution of annual savings plans.
- Develop RFI/RFPs and lead negotiations for key spend areas to achieve short-term and long-term savings targets.
- Support and if required lead cross functional teams to successfully drive complex sourcing projects.
- Register the projects pipeline in the appropriate sourcing tools and provide regular reporting as to their status and expected benefits.
- Lead and support the supplier selection, risk assessment and contract negotiation process for key projects as assigned by the supervisor
- Manage supplier performance through performance metrics and structured service level reviews; maintain interface at operating levels of supplier's organization; ensure professional contract execution and adherence to contractual terms and conditions..
- Communicate in a professional and effective way with internal and external stakeholders (senior management and cross functional teams) to ensure the necessary buy-in for the sourcing projects.
- Support in the implementation of the defined sourcing strategy and preferred suppliers.
- Generate regular reports for the category lead concerning the categories of spend under your responsibility.
- Drive effective Supplier Relationship Management with key suppliers and monitor performance.
- Stimulate and support innovation by using the supplier base, regularly reviewing market developments, and mobilizing the appropriate internal network.
- Directly supervise 2-3 team members
**What you'll bring**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas required.
- Fluent English (writing and reading).
- Fluent Spanish (writing and reading).
- Intermedieate Portuguese Language
- Intermediate or advanced English
- Minimum 5 years of category procurement experience. With multinational organizations a plus.
- Proven experience in people, stakeholder, and project management.
- Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.
- Strong analytic and negotiation skills.
- Business sense and ability to develop critical thinking.
- Experience in contracting includes but not be limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and matrix environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while balancing priorities
- Understanding of Procurement standard processes, supply markets, suppliers and products.
- Understanding of pricing models and contracts terms.
