Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held organization, with roots firmly planted in agriculture and agriculture-related businesses.SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee procurement activities for direct materials for our two avocado processing plants in Morelia and Irapuato, Mexico. This role requires frequent travel between the two locations to ensure seamless operations and effective collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the procurement of direct materials, ensuring timely deliveries that meet quality standards.Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, converting requisitions to purchase orders, ensuring pricing accuracy, and monitoring Purchase Price Variance (PPV).Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply.
