.Job Summary As the Procurement Operations Manager, your primary objective is to own the execution of transactional procurement activities and spot buy sourcing events within Emerson's Indirect Purchasing Operations (IPO). Lead catalog and contract enablement, coordinate requisition and purchase order processing. Ensure that Emerson's purchasing policies and controls are met and resolve discrepancies and exceptions. This position typically leads team Leaders and Buyers within the department. In this role, your responsibilities will be Supplier Enablement Own the purchasing team in validating purchasing requirements to qualify suppliers Onboard suppliers and complete supplier master file management Coordinate catalog enablement within procurement systems Ensure contracts are effectively enabled for purchasing and invoicing Transactional Procurement Supervise the generation of procurement reports to examine transactions for discrepancies, and noncompliance issues to support monthly reporting Supervise and handle procurement transactions in coordination with all buyers Supervise for the correct and compliant use of procurement systems working with the Buyer Team Leaders to develop, monitor, and improve the functions reporting and operating capabilities Purchasing Transactions Management Supervise and maintain effective requisition and purchase order processing Review and approve spot buy execution within the spot buy team Team Development & Supervision Build an effective work environment by developing a common vision, communicating clear objectives, encouraging partnership, recognizing performance, and providing mentorship. Ensure funding & approvals for employee training based on program requirements and continuous people development Find opportunities to involve others in new and ambitious work assignments and/or rotations that advance the skills and capabilities of individuals and the organization Manage resources and people processes (e.G., Performance Management, Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day-to-day administration of processes Conduct performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement Make salary and bonus recommendations based on employee feedback & performance Support HR with talent selection, retention, and development to maintain appropriate staffing for Emerson procurement Who you are: You use customer insights to drive and guide the development of new offerings.
