In the job as Procurement Specialist, you will have the opportunity to actively support the organization by meeting ensuring that our manufacturing site runs as needed to have the growth expected of the products we make in Mexico, excel in your own daily tasks and responsibilities, and experience a very varied working day in a dynamic.**Objective**:Support manufacturing, secure procurement needs for equipment and processes, participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and raw material projects and/ or optimization.**Duties/Responsibilities**:- Strategic alignment with Corporate Direct Spend Procurement team and assist with specific procurement tasks including Sourcing, performing cost & scenario analysis and price benchmarking.- Identify competitive, reliable, and strategic suppliers in Mexico/US (local). Work with cross-functional teams to successfully qualify new products and vendors.- Manage Indirect Material Spend and support other departments on their needs for Indirect Material and Services. Select the right suppliers by quoting material and services that fall within the suppliers' core business.- Provide Cost Reduction initiatives in Direct and Indirect Spend (MRO, equipment, services, etc.). Follow up and monitor progress.- Develop and implement procurement strategies for Direct Material in which the Supplier Lead site is Ambu Mexico.- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Make effective negotiations with strategic suppliers by leverage volume to reduce prices, improve payment terms and other commercial terms.- Assess, manage & mitigate risks on material supply.- Manage supplier quality claim, scrap, and financial impact management.- Work with suppliers to ensure the material cost is fair and reasonable through price comparisons, negotiations, etc.- Managing the entire lifecycle of contracts with suppliers. This includes drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, monitoring contract performance and overseeing renewals and terminations.- Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as Finance, Legal, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals.- Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to support decision-making. This involve tracking KPIs, monitoring supplier performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.- Acts as a strategic partner for the business and ensure high professional standards.- Perform other duties as may be assigned.- Reports to Procurement Manager.About AmbuAmbu has been bringing the solutions of the future to life since 1937
