Product Change Control Tech

**Career Area**:Manufacturing & Supply Chain**Description:To coordinate Engineering releasing activities between Engineering design areas and procurement/scheduling, with limited direction, assuring effective and timely implementation of changes**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:- The incumbent creates, maintains, and communicates accurate change management data at both the local and corporate level through data entry in management information systems including the EDS/PRWB and QAD- The incumbent analyzes engineering releases, changes, drawing notices to create change management requirements, and also provides the creation of product structure in QAD based on engineering design within EDS/PRWB- The incumbent is considered an Engineering Change Notice expert using interdepartmental guidelines and Engineering Standards. The incumbent analyzes engineering drawings and notices to determine and create procurement item master data, product structure definition, and technical procurement criteria in the QAD ERP system. The incumbent will also be literate to create PCN (Product Change Notice) to implement all the Engineering Changes- The incumbent establishes and maintains close team relationships with personnel in manufacturing operation, process planning, engineering design, and material planning in support of effective least cost change implementation**Required Qualifications**:- BS degree in Engineering field- English 60-80% (written, read and spoken)- 2+ years of relevant experience- Knowledgeable and experience of Statistics, Problem Solving Methodologies- Knowledgeable and experience in Metrology / Geometric Tolerances and Reading of Plans**Desired Qualifications**:- Knowledge of Caterpillar Reman products, especially Turbochargers and Fuel Systems- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.- Project Management advanced skills and Proficient MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
