.**Description****Our Molex division is seeking a Product Design Engineer Supervisor for the Guadalajara Sur, Mexico Location.**Molex LLC is a manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems. Molex offers over 100,000 products across a variety of industries, including data communications, medical, industrial, automotive and consumer electronics.The **Product Design Engineer Supervisor **will coordinate and supervise the design engineering group through the phases of the product development process for the successful execution of commercialization projects. (Product validation by transfer of production lines, new customer requirements, material changes, continuous improvement, design changes and cost reduction).**What You Will Do In Your Role**:- Develop the technical skills and interpersonal skills of the engineers under your supervision.- Serve as the point of contact between the manufacturing site and the different design centers to obtain information and follow up on engineering change activities.- Lead the creation of documents to communicate engineering changes to other internal areas of Molex and external customers.- Oversee the creation and maintenance of engineering drawings and product specifications using the GD&T methodology.- Coordinate the development of reports, plans and design verification reports (DVP&R) following main automotive specifications such as USCAR.- Coordinate with the Product Manager and collaborate with the different areas (quality, testing, manufacturing, planning) to meet the launch dates of products and/or projects.**The Experience You Will Bring**:**Requirements**:- Advanced English - Written and Spoken. Undergraduate studies at Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanics level.- Minimum 2 years of experience supervising design engineers.- Minimum 6 years of work experience in the automotive sector (OEM, connectors, electromechanical modules and/or harnesses)- Previous knowledge in the product development and design process, manufacturing engineering, plastic molding and process improvement.- Coordination, execution, monitoring and solution of technical problems in projects.- Skills to lead, quote, manage and prioritize new projects and products.- Experience in managing programs for the development of 2D plans and 3D CAD models.- Experience in managing suppliers for the design and development of plastic components and raw materials (Resins and Copper Alloys).- Experience in implementation of enginering changes and impact assessment.- Experience in project transfers.- Experience in cost analysis.- Mentoring, training and development of engineers through the execution of activities and problem solving.- Interpretation of plans, specifications and electronic diagrams.- Optimization of processes.- Use and Knowledge of the Advanced Planning of the Quality of a Product. (APQP)- Use and Knowledge of the Approval Process for the Production Part
