Product Design Pipeline Lead Major Tasks Provides leadership to coordinate the technical strategy to design improved cohorts of germplasm that are aligned with Product Concept targets from initial crossing through the handoff to Product Development. Develop and implement people, technology, and design strategies to accelerate and enhance germplasm design concepts. Ensure goals and resource needs are met and aligned with business needs of global business. Acts as a key stakeholder to drive strong collaborative relationships with field testing, data science, engineering, molecular breeding, logistics, trait integration, Product Development, Market Development, and Commercial organizations to deliver a robust product pipeline. Ensures meaningful knowledge and data transfer during transition points per crop cycle timelines. Proactively identifies key areas of opportunity for new technology implementation and/or process improvement, while positively contributing to a collaborative, innovative, and design-centric culture. Integrates and leads projects/initiatives with partner teams and across world regions (NA, LATAM, EMEA, APAC) to guide development and implementation of Precision Breeding. Ensure employee development, including growth opportunities for key high potential individuals and senior scientists, strong succession, and change management efforts to prepare for future transformation within the function and workforce. Drive HS&E, Compliance, Business Conduct and Human Rights focus and culture in the region. Skills PhD degree in Genetics (human, animal or plant), Plant Breeding, Animal Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Data Science or other relevant scientific field with minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or MS degree with 10+ years of experience in breeding programs, genetics or applied data science projects. 5+ years of experience in leading teams with demonstrated leadership effectiveness in driving technical strategy, innovation and developing people. Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, advanced analytics and information technologies, genomics and/or quantitative genetics with a proven track record of driving innovation. Strong ability in collaborating and building cross-functional partnerships to solve business or technical problems.
