At Americanflat, we value direct communication, feedback, and collaboration, fostering a culture of unity, mutual support, and efficiency.Intro of the position:As a Product Development and Merchandising Manager at Americanflat, you will research market trends, analyze sales data, and assess consumer feedback to optimize product assortments. Your responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, developing pricing strategies, and identifying market gaps. Additionally, you will generate reports on product performance and market insights, using trend analysis to inform product development strategies.Responsibilities:Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape. Conduct regular competitive analysis to benchmark product features, pricing, and positioning in the market.Analyze sales data and consumer feedback to optimize product assortment and identify opportunities.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-through rates, margin analysis, and inventory turnover to assess product performance and inform decision-making.Generate reports and presentations summarizing product performance, market trends, and actionable insights.Identify white space opportunities through market gap analysis and competitor research, presenting findings to inform product development strategies.Conduct trend research and analysis to identify emerging themes, styles, and consumer preferences in the market.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.4+ years of experience in product development and merchandising, or related roles.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, and inventory forecasting.Passion for consumer products, fashion, or the retail industry.Proven experience with Amazon merchandising is a strong advantage.Personal Attributes:Adaptable, resourceful, able to work within and navigate ambiguity.Prioritization shifting and ability to multitask.Creative and curious - find a better way.Strong interpersonal skills - diplomatic, tactful, excitable but balanced.Friendly and overall helpful behavior.Passion for problem-solving.A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
