Key Responsibilities: Develop new assortment for PMCs on local and country levelImplement Crop/PMC Trial plan in line with global crop trial planMember of local crop team(s); provide input on crop strategy and market-customer intelligenceSupport development and maintenance of product profilesAdvise on and support introduction strategiesEnsure implementation and alignment of trial calendarAlign with breeder and sales on product profiles per Product Market Combination, propose priorities and focus areasProvide guidance and input to breeding direction and breeding selectionsConduct market and competitor intelligence together with sales; understand trends and driversIdentify unique selling points of the new commercial varieties versus competitors and existing portfolioDefine growing protocols and growing concepts before commercial launchingImplement and support the use of tools like Mercado, etc.Based on the portfolio, PDM can have multi-crop and cross-country responsibilitiesHierarchical and functionally lead Trial Development Specialist(s)Performance Indicators: Quality Trial plan, design, and executionSuccessful introductionsDefine growing protocols and growing concepts before commercial launchingSteering breeding programs and breeding selectionsCore Competencies: Leadership skills with the ability to provide clarity and direction to stakeholdersResult-oriented, "we make it happen" mentalityAbility to think and act at different levels, prepared to put "boots on the ground"TechnicalTeam playerAnalyticalPro-activeYour Qualifications: Requires a minimum of a B.S. in Agronomy or Horticulture3+ years of experience in the vegetable seed industry is preferredFluent in English, both spoken and written; additional language(s) are an advantageAbout the Company: Our company is one of the world's leading plant breeding companies, focusing on plant breeding and the production and sale of seeds with a global presence in several countries.
