Your new place to work can be located at ContiTech San Luis Potosi.The Material Process Engineer - FHS is responsible for material industrialization of alternative materials and new production technologies for Fluid Handling Solutions. This includes fostering effective know-how transfer in cooperation with central departments, and managing different projects to support the region reporting to the Head of Material Process Engineering FHS. Support of FHS plants in the US, Canada, and Mexico is also required.Key ResponsibilitiesKnowledge Management: Facilitate know-how gathering, filing, and preservation for future use and support the investment process; communicate and executethe CT IAM PD MatPE strategy into the organization; manage, review, and steer Material Industrialization projects.Development: Work with Material Team for industrialization and cooperation with central departments and external partners for implementation of new raw materials and production technologies; support PUR and SCM on technical discussions regarding alternate raw materials; foster material savingsand phase-out of hazardous materials; develop competent technical resources.Supplier Contact: Contact and collaborate with suppliers to support product localization, quality, material property deviation, and sampling processes; check availability and capability of raw material sources.Lab Testing: Organize laboratory testing on alternate materials; evaluate and interpret results.Material Inspection & Validation: Evaluate and approve product and material properties during industrialization in accordance with product requirements.Environment: Ensure environmentally friendly handling of materials, avoid the use and introduction of hazardous materials.Quality: Support on project/product complaints and investigations; conduct Supplier Auditsand Supplier Approval.QualificationsEducation / Certification: Chemical Engineer or Academic Degree in Engineering.Professional Experience: Experience with hoses or rubber products and application fields; experience in the industrialization of technical products
