Job Title:Process Development TechnicianDepartment:OCS Technology:Global Product DevelopmentScope of Position:Day to Day Responsibilities::Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and develop new product solutions for Optical Hardware products.:Carry out experimental trials by setting up manufacturing equipment and fixtures, performing experimentation, data collection and analysis, and delivering test reports.:Support project teams and the definition of project deliverables and timelines.:Collaborate with internal and external equipment and tooling designers to determine functional requirements.:Support activities to solve problems and implement process improvements based on fundamental understanding.:Preparation and shipment of Sheet Metal Prototypes.:Assembly and testing of products to support development activities.:5S activities for Technology Laboratory, and preparation for 5S andEnvironmental Audits.:Maintain and improve a safe work environment.Required Education:Mechatronics, Electro Mechanical or Mechanical Technical training and experience.:Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Major in Mechanical, Electro Mechanical or Mechatronics is desirable.Work Experience:1 to 2 years of experience in Product Development or Manufacturing Environment, working with mechanical / optical assembly and testing.Required Skills:Technical background in manufacturing processes.:Demonstrated and applied mechanical aptitude.:Ability to clearly express technical ideas.:Self:Motivated and able to work independently.:Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects / activities.:Good communication skills, both written and verbal.:Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.:Results oriented.:Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.:Foreign languages skills:English ( reading, listening and writing ).Desired Skills:Experience on product design using CAD software.:Experience with NPI process.:Problem solving techniques.:SAP and Windchill fundamentals.:Capable of performing data analysis using MS excel (SPC)Soft Skills:Personal initiative and commitment:Ability to work within cross:Functional and cross:Cultural teams.:Positive attitude, flexible and good work ethic
