Responsible for product and design engineering activities for product and component lines.Key Responsibilities:Develops innovative solutions that are congruent with product strategy (lean and value engineering).Holds design reviews to alert stakeholders of changes, demonstrate value and adherence to quality, safety, and value, and communicate change in advance of actions.Prepares and submits product change requests (PCR) as appropriate to communicate changes to the business and gain acceptance.Revises internal fabrication manual, validates changes to models, and submits changes for review and for updates to the ATO modeling configuration system.Involved in capital budgeting process affecting all relevant product lines and manufacturing process equipment selection.Reviews process audit data, remakes, repairs, and complaints to understand which opportunities for improvement exist.Manages projects based on timelines established by engineering and manufacturing management priorities.Develops, plans, and implements timetables for engineering related projects, which are prioritized by steering team consisting of members of manufacturing, product platform, and engineering.Direct interaction and communication with customers and consumers.Coordinates and prioritizes design and product engineering activities as established by platform team management and oversight of engineering management with input from manufacturing management in accordance with Spring's business strategies and goals to reduce waste (labor, materials) and maintain value to the end user.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, electro-mechanic, electronic, etc).3-5 years of experience as a product or project engineer in a manufacturing facility.Problem-solving skills.English (85% spoken).Experience in line balance, time study, and layout changes.New Product Introduction experience (NPI).AutoCAD or similar (conceptual and detail design skills).FMEA.Frontier System inventory (FRN).Preparing samples for testing and analysis.#J-18808-Ljbffr
