Product Engineer (CPE) for Mechatronic group will perform, support, manage and exceed in-depth all electronic product lines.- Problem solving techniques will use. Processing and execution of Engineering changes, Risk and impact evaluation, provide/obtain approval from product line standpoint.- Drive cost savings oriented Workshops for specific products. Material cost Improvement. In addition it will provide support for any current production program with mechanical design issues (which include failures and design optimization), on site, material changes (plastics primarily), BOM cost savings opportunities, supplier change requests that impact the product lines either thru end of life from the supplier or component replacement for improved cost.- Managed re-design project in savings to the company thru the re-use of mechanical components. CPE will be used as a resource for multiple Integrated Product Development teams**Qualifications**- Knowledge of Design and development of Mechatronics products such as: Key-Fobs, Start Stop Push Buttons, Steering Wheel Switches, PRND Module, Transmission Paddles, HVAC Modules, BCM/ECU Modules, Window Switches, Seat Switches.- Must have 2-5 years of related experience- Must be able to effectively communicate and work cross-functionally as a team member with suppliers and customers.- Create brand new products DFMEAs- Create tolerance stack-up studies- Create Engineering specifications and technical reports- Coordinate the construction of prototypes, including the development and control plan- Create DVP&R and Test results interpretations- Root cause analysis and Problem solving techniques- Provide support for any current production program with mechanical design issues (which include failures and design optimization)- Must also have the ability to check drawings conforming to AMSE Y14.5 and to verify designs with analysis and hand calculations for form, fit, and function.**Additional proficiencies include**- Strong analytical and problem solving, and six-sigma tools skills are essential- CAD knowledge for model, layout, and drawing review- Hands on and Service mentality- Design for Manufacturability (DFM)- Must have strong technical leadership experience- Excellent and Strong verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work in a team environment- Ability to prioritize work independently with little direction while staying on task- Familiarity with statistics tools: SPC, Minitab**Education**BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanics Engineering requiredTipo de puesto: Tiempo completo, Por tiempo indeterminadoHorario:- Lunes a viernesIdioma:- Inglés (Deseable)
