**Your Job**
As a Product Engineer you will serve as the technical point of contact between the manufacturing site and design center to ensure Fit/Form/Function of existing and new products.
Being owner of product documentation and technical records (specifications, BOM, drawings & packing) applicable to the function in compliance with the requirements of the organization's quality management system.

**What You Will Do**
- Develop clear guidelines and templates for creating manufacturing drawings in existing part numbers.
This will help maintain consistency and make it easier to consolidate product information into a single file.
- Work along with Chicago technical center and engineering to receive, organize and summarize product documentation, specifications so the information can be shared in an agile way with manufacturing area.
- Work closely with different departments (design, engineering, quality, manufacturing, planning) to evaluate impact of product changes before releasing to mass production.
- Participate at early stage and manage all information needed (BOM, drawing, specification, traceability) to set up new part numbers into manufacturing plant MRP along with design center.
- Participate in quality continuous improvement teams.
**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**:
- Mechatronic, mechanical, or electrical engineer.
- Good experience in product development related to manufacturing and NPI preferably **cooper cables**.
- English conversational.
- Preparation, development, and release of internal controlled documents.
- BOM (Billing of materials) and Engineering Change management experience.
- Experience in Impact Analysis for Engineering Changes.
- Experience on manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operations in cable manufacture area or similar processes.
- Experience on core tools, lean manufacturing, APQP, PFMA, manufacturing process, standardized work, 8D, Ishikawa, Pareto, etc.
**What Will Put You Ahead:
- Experience in cable manufacturing processes such an extrusion, cabling, bonding, taping, and twister processes.
- Communication skills, problem solving, teamwork and sense of urgency.
- Proactive person that enjoys having continuous learning.
