**JOB SUMMARY & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:The Product Engineer-A creates 3D models and bill of materials (BOMS) for projects under mínimal supervision of Engineering Supervisors and/or Engineering Manager. Successful Product Engineer-A's create highly accurate 3D models, BOMS and provide production support as required for the project. The Product Engineer-A must lead effort to assess and find solutions to problems that impact production and quality. Product Engineer-A will participate and lead design reviews with customers, engineering team members and other internal stakeholders.
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor, Creo or other software to create 3D models and drawings of products as required
- Utilize Agile EC Cad Vault or equivalent Vault system to Administrate Cad files
- Utilize Oracle PLM system or equivalent for documentation, manage Engineering change control process, eBOM.
- Create 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies from both 2D and 3D data
- Design 3D sheet metal parts and welded structural steel frames - Design 3D piping/conduit from 2D layout
- Create part, assembly and assembly drawings from 3D files
- Proficiency in working with Autodesk Inventor or equivalent CAD system
- Proficiency in working with Agile EC Cad Vault or equivalent Vault system
- Proficiency in working with Oracle PLM system or equivalent PLM System.
- Create, maintain and review bill of materials (BOMS) with a high degree of accuracy
- Complete work assignments within determined time frame
- Demonstrate creative ability, accuracy, and cost effectiveness
- Oversee and advise on the design and CAD work of others as needed
- Works independently with mínimal supervision from lead project engineer(s) and/or manager
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and switch tasks when situations arise
- Work directly with material vendors on component sourcing and selection - May provide engineering support to manufacturing during production and testing
- Interact with external customers as required
- Participate in and lead group discussions and Web Meetings regarding projects - Performs other related duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Bachelor's or AAS (Associates of Applied Science) degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Design Technology or other engineering disciplines
- Four to Six (4-6) years of experience in product mechanical design
- Self-starter. Ability to solve problems, take responsibility and deliver results with a spirit of innovation and strong commitment to excellence
- Proficiency in use of MS Office Software - such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Experience in 3D CAD modeling tools such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or others
- Experience in modeling tools such as Autodesk Inventor, Creo, SolidWorks or others
- Experience using Cad Vault systems such Agile EC, Autodesk Vault or others
- Experience using PLM systems such Oracle or others - Ability to read, interpret and produce technical drawings
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization - Knowledge of Six Sigma
- Knowledge of KPIs
