**Position Summary**Product Engineer - MePa & Pin Header applicant must take absolute control of the product development process and manage the projects within the agreed due dates and milestones.
The engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components that meet or exceed customer requirements, industry standards and an overall robust performance.
Must be skilled on 3D modeling and 2D print development using computer aided design tools (CAD) like Unigraphics NX (preferred), CATIA, or Solidworks.
Must have a great communication and negotiation skills with the customer and co-workers, building relationships that will help portfolio and the company growth.
**Your Role**- Establish, document, and follow up project schedule- Ensure customer deliverables are met (Prototypes, Pilots, Production Trial Run parts, etc.
)- Responsible for creating design validation plans- Developing & validating new designs and changes to existing designs.- Coordinate build activities with ME & validation activities with lab & VE.- Interface with customers & suppliers in defining product requirements & component specifications.- Work with suppliers, purchasing, SQE, ME, VE, plant mfg., Plant quality to resolve issues.- Provide support & lead technical presentations.
Manage time/work in support of program deliverables.- Prepare and deliver design analysis reports including DFMEA, FEA, and tolerance stacks.- Maintain professional and responsive customer contact**Your Background**- Education: Mechanic, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering or Experience on the industrial design field.- 90% English (written and verbal)- Knowledge in product design & validation methods- Problem solving skills, print interpretation, GD&T, and stack up studies- Familiar in component manufacturing processes (plastic molding, stampings, machining, deep drawn, etc.
)- Ability to work independently and motivate others- Ability to lead projects, directing the activity of multiple support organizations and assure timely completion of deliverables.- Possess sufficient CAD skills to open, manipulate, assemble, and make minor modifications to 3D component models.
