Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Product Line Coordinator Role Purpose This position is responsible for providing analysis and reporting of product related data to support the team's One Year plan.
This role will support a fast paced, dynamic product line to grow market share while optimizing efficiencies across the portfolio.
The role will be supported by Product Line Specialist(s) and the Regional Product Team.
Major Roles and Responsibilities Reporting/Analysis Analyze and consolidate forecast data for monthly SnOP forecast and Consensus forecast meetings.
Compile and analyze product forecast on a monthly basis.
Complete product line tasks daily to ensure product updates are timely and cohesive (quality updates, part number creation, product substitutions).
Prepare financial analysis as needed to support team.
Product Line Support Schedule and conduct weekly Operations/Capacity & Priorities meeting with PLM, Operations & Supply Chain to ensure OTP and PLT deliverables are met.
(Customer Service) Cross functional engagement with Customer Service, Implementation and Planning teams for driving commercial/operations priorities.
(Customer Service) Support Supply Chain, Data Management Organization (DMO) regarding ordering processes and part number management.
(Supply Chain) Engage and support with Variable Configurator (VC) updates and reviews quarterly to ensure product line is updated across systems.
(Customer Service) Support key product line strategic initiatives as needed.
(Leadership) Conduct periodic review and ensure product line collateral and literature (spec sheets, videos, standard operating procedures) are updated with guidance from the Product Specialist.
(Positioning) Knowledgeable on industry, customer, and regulatory standards and how their products perform against them.
(Competitive Assessment) Participates in maximizing pricing updates and analysis as supported by Product Specialist.
(Pricing) Maintains documentation in centralized location for product line portfolio updates.
(Engineering) Trains and communicates product line portfolio updates with Customer Service, Applications Engineering, Engineering Services, and Sales as needed.
(Engineering) Job requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain.
Previous work experience in project management, supply chain, customer service or like of 0-3 years.
Systems experience in SAP, Business Warehouse, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce.com, Databricks.
Highly proficient in English language, written and verbal.
Demonstrated work experience communicating with cross-functional teams, project management experience, and data or financial analysis.
