What You'll Be Doing
As a Product Manager on the Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) team, your primary focus will be on building products with a delightful user experience for Oracle's customers to perform ad-hoc data analysis, curated content analytics, and consumer experience. You will work closely with Engineering teams to ship products that delight our customers. You will be an internal and external evangelist for OAC products and will work closely with Product Strategy, Engineering, Leadership teams, other cross-functional teams in addition to customers and partners to understand customer needs, use cases, and opportunity areas for product growth.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the ideation, execution, and roadmap for OAC Data Visualization, Mobile, and general UI experience features.
- Foster a product management culture that is innovative, collaborative, curious, and focused on the customer, product, and company mission.
- Define and drive feature specifications to deliver against the roadmap for your product ownership areas.
- Work closely with UX designers to design experiences that are both highly effective and aesthetically pleasing.
- Have an eye for visual design and user experience design. Keep user experience top of mind when designing features, while also understanding the technology stack so that features are aptly designed and well thought through.
- Build effective relationships, influence, and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.
- Analyze competitive solutions and research new knowledge areas when needed.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to answer questions and make design and implementation decisions.
- Review end-user documentation for accuracy.
- Test features to ensure they are developed according to the design.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (support, strategy, partners) for the go-to-market of features.
Be the product champion - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive adoption of the Reporting and Analytics platform.
Evaluate product success via quantitative data analysis and customer conversations.
Who you are:
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in product management roles, preferably in Data, Analytics, BI domains.
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
- Experience working with analytics and business intelligence products.
- Strong technical background and problem-solving skills.
- You have a solid understanding of Product Management practices.
- Passionate: You love the intersection of building software, deeply understanding customer needs, bringing products to market, and statistics and data science technologies.
- Domain: You have experience with Business Intelligence, Analytics concepts and products, and an ability to work with data.
- Curious: You dive into new ideas and ways of working and enjoy bringing your own thoughts and suggestions to the conversation.
- Engaged: You're as comfortable jumping into a technical engineering conversation as lending your voice to long-term product strategy and market analysis.
- Customer and user-focused: You can put yourself in a user's shoes and understand their needs. You listen closely to all avenues of feedback.
- Team Player: Proven competency in cross-team collaboration, drive for results, and written and verbal communications.
- Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to bring clarity to complexity and communicate customer needs, architectural requirements, and product goals across cross-functional teams.
