**Job Title**:Production Area Supervisor****Department**: Manufacturing )**Reports to**: Production Area Manager**Position Overview**:The Production Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly and/or machine operations within the manufacturing facility in Mexico. This role involves leading and supervising a team of workers, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.**Responsibilities**:- **Team Leadership and Supervision**:- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of assembly workers and/or machine operators to achieve production targets and quality standards.- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operation.- **Production Planning and Coordination**:- Coordinate with production planning and scheduling teams to ensure timely execution of production orders.- Allocate resources, including manpower and equipment, to meet production requirements.- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed.- **Quality Assurance and Compliance**:- Enforce quality standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality and safety concerns.- **Process Improvement and Optimization**:- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.- **Health and Safety**:- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.- Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and accident investigations as needed.- Provide safety training and promote awareness of safety protocols and practices among assembly team members.**Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred.- Proven experience in manufacturing assembly operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Knowledge of assembly processes, quality control methods, and safety regulations.- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems.- **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
