**Position Overview**:
The Production Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly and/or machine operations within the manufacturing facility in Mexico. This role involves leading and supervising a team of workers, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Team Leadership and Supervision**:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of assembly workers and/or machine operators to achieve production targets and quality standards.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure efficient operation.
- **Production Planning and Coordination**:
- Coordinate with production planning and scheduling teams to ensure timely execution of production orders.
- Allocate resources, including manpower and equipment, to meet production requirements.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules or resources as needed.
- **Quality Assurance and Compliance**:
- Enforce quality standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality and safety concerns.
- **Process Improvement and Optimization**:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, lean principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- **Health and Safety**:
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and accident investigations as needed.
- Provide safety training and promote awareness of safety protocols and practices among assembly team members.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in manufacturing assembly operations, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of assembly processes, quality control methods, and safety regulations.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software systems.
- **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
