**Production Engineering Manager**
Responsible to lead, organize and direct the Manufacturing/ Production Engineering Department in the function of planning, configuration management, change control, implementation of best practices, innovation/ improvement of manufacturing technologies to achieve productivity, as well ensuring that all transitions are completed in time and within budget with the planned results.
**_Responsibilities_**
- Lead and manage team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Setting and achieving team goals, conducting efficient team meetings and effective problem solving.
- Drive department training requirements and standard practices.
- Provide supervisory direction, counseling, instruction, training, and development as required to manage the creation of production planning, estimates, change control, call board activities and configuration management.
- Recommend solutions, lead, support CI projects initiatives that will result in safety, quality and cost improvements, reducing environmental impact, networking with internal and external contacts to share best practices, tools, project management and OPEX.
- Continually seek improvement opportunities in systems utilization, elimination of the 8 wastes, new technologies and manufacturing process improvements.
- Evaluate, identify and mitigate risks on all processes, as well as before and during transition process.
- Work with the other managers to prioritize projects and deploy proper resources as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 7 years experience in Aerospace Engineering positions.
- Experience in the aerospace industry, its products and processes, including electrical harnesses, components fabrication and structural assembly.
- Experience in transitions of aerospace products and processes.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing industry processes, trends & technologies.
- GD&T, 2D drawings and CAM/CAD.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong Leadership, Negotiation and Communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- English language is a must.
- 6 Sigma & French language, are a plus.
