Join a culture of collaboration and innovation that matters and a chance to learn, effect change, and make meaningful contributions at work and in communities.The Production Manager will manage an operations group consisting of 6 salaried supervisors and over 200 hourly employees in a two-shift operation.Role Responsibilities:- Provides leadership for and coordinates activities of production, process engineering, and continuous improvement departments in metal mechanic manufacturing system- Manages the manufacturing functions of a 2 shift operation which includes planning the production flow, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, handling staffing issues, monitoring production orders and scheduling and providing technical training to employees, as weel as continuous improvement activity among all levels of operations organization.- Develops and analyzes production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and process engineering problems to ensure minimum costs and to prevent operational delays.- Develops and works with supervisors in all areas such as employee relations, problem-solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, disciplinary action, terminations, equipment problems, training, etc.- Works closely with the plant staff in areas of safety and quality. Develops programs within these areas, ensures the plant is in compliance with the standards, and delivers training to all employees.- Champions the company's lean culture and oversees the change management process of continuous improvement. Proficient in keeping 6S methodology in all areas in the production shopfloor and backyard.- Assuring company compliance with environmental state and federal regulations including an emphasis on achieving sustainability within those regulations.- Assists employees and supervisors in solving work-related problems.- Evaluate the issue and meet with supervisors and human resources to determine the most effective remediation technique.- Develops and revises standard operational and working practices and observes employees to ensure compliance.- Develops and maintains the plant's operational budget.Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a related field- 5 years of professional level manufacturing experience- 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:- Skilled in problem-solving techniques- Experienced in metal mechanic manufacturing systems- Experienced with Union relationships- Demonstrated ability to lead operational turnarounds and manage changeCareers | Donaldson Company, Inc.To verify that the communication is from Donaldson
