**Job Description: Production Manager - Automotive Industry**
**Position Overview**:
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising manufacturing processes within the production plant. The primary objective is to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of automotive products, adhering to industry safety, quality, and productivity standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- 1.**Production Management**:
- Plan and oversee production processes to meet goals in terms of volume, quality, and deadlines.
- Implement and optimize manufacturing methods and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, maintenance, and quality to ensure operational continuity.
- 1.**Team Supervision**:
- Lead and manage the production team, ensuring employee development and motivation.
- Set individual and team goals and conduct performance evaluations.
- Provide training and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- 1.**Quality Control**:
- Ensure products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures to address quality issues.
- 1.**Resource Management**:
- Ensure the efficient use of materials, machinery, and human resources.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of production lines to minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory of materials and components needed for production.
- 1.**Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and automotive industry requirements.
- Maintain updated certifications (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949).
- 1.**Analysis and Reporting**:
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for production.
- Generate periodic reports on productivity, efficiency, and costs.
- Propose improvement plans based on performance results.
**Job Requirements**:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in production or management is a plus.
- **Experience**: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- **Technical Knowledge**:
- Lean manufacturing systems (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Automotive-specific processes (molding, stamping, assembly, etc.).
- Proficiency in production planning and control software (ERP/MRP).
- **Skills**:
- Leadership and management of multidisciplinary teams.
- Results-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
**Work Conditions**:
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Location: El Salto, Jalisco.
- Availability to travel as required by the company.
