**ACTIVITIES**
- Plan and organize the workload for subordinate employees to meet negotiated shipment due dates.
- Ensures all raw materials used in the production process are in stock and prepared for use to maintain a consistent high level of production.
- Ensures that a system is in place to identify raw materials, both before and after processing, and ensures that subordinate employees can easily identify the materials. Ensures that the proper materials are used in the production process.
- Ensure a safe work environment by identifying and mitigating hazards and unsafe work practices and through administration the company's injury and illness prevention program.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards. Assists in collecting data, providing metrics and supports audits to demonstrate compliance.
- Reviews processes and procedures for efficiency improvement. Makes recommendations for improvement to management.
- Maintains a system to review and test incoming raw material shipments to ensure product that is received is as invoiced by the vendor and meets the specifications of the purchase order. Prepares and forwards all receiving paperwork and documentation to accounting immediately upon inspection.
- Review subordinate employee performance as necessary but at a minimum annually.
- Organize the workflow to maximize the effectiveness of the production team. This includes planning the production and ensuring management defined workflow processes and procedures are followed.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to organize, plan and direct the work of subordinate employees.
- Possess a high respect for safe work practices.
- Must be detail and deadline oriented.
- Ability to work weekends and beyond normal work hours as necessary to meet company demands.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to safely lift heavy or bulky items, access items in elevated locations, and safely work around forklifts, lathes, calendars and other production equipment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing management.
- Background in process engineering or related field highly desirable.
- Must be able to utilize basic business software (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
Pay: $15,000.00 - $24,000.00 per month
