Seeking a Production Manager for our new production facility. Facilityis approximately 65,000 square feet and employes 100+ factory workers. We produce a wide variety of office furniture products utilizing a broad range of materials. Solid wood, wood veneer, MDF, plywood, steel, stainless steel, natural stone, man made quartz, acrylic solid surface, plastic laminate, lacuqer and painted finishes.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Manager will be involved with creating a seemless production process from front office to product delivery to client.
- Processes to be managed include order entry, production documentation, scheduling, materials acquisition, inventory control, work in process, veneer pressing, panel cutting, machining, assembly, polish sanding, finish room, accessorizing, packing, warehousing and shipping.
- Quality Control will be highly emphasized.
- Safety is important to Dfm and our workers.
- Manager must be knowledgeable of all safety requirements and be able to implement programs to ensure worker safety.
- Position requires individual to have journeyman level woodworking experience.
Experiência y requisitos
- A minimum of 10 years management experience in the furniture industry is required.
- General knowledge of material strengths, fabrication priciples and techniques for the range of materials mentioned here.
- Production Manager will be responsible for hiring, training and managing supervisors and production staff of approximately 100 employees. All phases of the shop floor manufacturing processes will be under his direct supervision.
- Efficiency and managing labor costs are high priority.
- Quality craftsmenship and innovative products are Company trademark. Being able to build a homogeneous Team based production staff is key to our sucess.
- Experienced in various traditional woodworking machines as well as state of the art CNC equipment to support our in house stone fabrication and steel fabrication. Examples include CNC beam panel saw, CNC Router and CNC stone cutting / router. Background in basic programming of CNC equipment is mandatory.
- Demonstrated solid knowledge of the processes involved with manufacturing these materials (Solid wood, wood veneer, MDF, plywood, steel, stainless steel, natural stone, man made quartz, acrylic solid surface, plastic laminate, lacuqer and painted finishes).
