.Descripción y detalle de las actividadesThe production planner provides the production department with a work schedule and ensures that all the resources needed to complete the schedule are available. A planner works with the production department leaders, subassembly or component planners, purchasing and shipping to monitor the progress of work through the organization, and work close with customer service and master scheduler to provide shipping schedule and notify on any change on the ship dates. Responsibilities: - Facilitates daily production meetings to provide information on the status of material and customer orders to provide shipping dates. - Is the main point of contact for customer service and master scheduler to provide ship date for customer orders - Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to the planning function of finish good materials to ship direct to customers. - Manage FOB Orders schedule to meet dates and generate revenue within the month. - Manage WIP inventory levels thru the end of the month and end of the quarter, by adjusting the manufacturing schedules to meet dock dates. - Coordinate RG (returned goods) revision and usage to minimize inventory impact and/or scrap. - Analyzes delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and escalates findings to master scheduler, customer service and management. - Works with the purchasing department to schedule the delivery of materials needed to meet the production deadlines. - Communicate to purchasing and planning of components on changes of the schedule, to re-plan material deliveries. - The planner must use lead-time information to ensure that materials are received in a timely manner for production requirements. - This may include the production of subassemblies within the organization that are needed to produce a final product. - Creates a work schedule for the production department using inventory information and production rates - Review and Execute MRP exception messages reports, to manage its portfolio.Experiência y requisitos- Minimum 3 years of experience in production control production - Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration - Experience using mayor ERP systems, especially Advance Planning Systems - Knowledge of Supply Chain fundamentals (APICS training as a PLUS) - Bilingual - English and Spanish - Production planner must be organized and have the ability to respond quickly to changes in the production schedule - Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interactions with diverse groups of people inside/outside of the company - Demonstrated proficiency with PC software (MS Office, Excel,) - Computer skills are necessary to the job and knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) is essential to manufacturing planning
