Improves AE's ability to meet customer delivery requirements by understanding BU capacity, identifying constraints, and actively reducing lead times (availability) by product.
Minimizes AE's investment in raw and finished material inventory where appropriate.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the flow of PCBA through the production facility and subcontract manufacturers, ensuring that production operatives/subcontractors have the correct quantities of materials/components and information delivered to them on time at the correct location to achieve on-time deliveries.Support to coordinate all aspects of production planning, material control, shop floor scheduling, and labor capacity planning.Prepare and issue shop floor documentation to meet the Production Schedule.Work to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.Liaise with customers to communicate delays and to resolve any delivery queries.Consolidate various delivery commitments from Cell Leaders and Purchasing into one agreed order schedule, whilst achieving customer satisfaction.Process Engineering Change Orders, Custom BoM (Bill of Materials) releases, and new product introductions into existing production.Provide accurate, timely, and concise feedback to keep account reps/operations team members/supply chain in the loop.Take a lead role in the ongoing improvement in manufacturing data accuracy.Analyze long lead time parts and work with purchasing to develop custom supply solutions (e.G., point-of-use material, line-side stocking, kanban, min-max supply, etc.
).Produce Key Performance Indicator and management reports.QUALIFICATIONSAbility to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand.Excellent judgment and initiative, including the ability to effectively balance multiple priorities.Minimum of three to five years of production planning or material management experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ideally PCBA/SMT experience.Experience in a high mix/low volume, pull-based manufacturing environment
