Performs analysis of many facets to ensure adequate capacity and material to meet the various demand streams. Creates and maintains the rolling 18-month production and material plan based on actual and forecast customer demand, production capabilities, supplier capabilities, and current inventories. Balances factory workforce requirements. This level is generally used at a medium size manufacturing unit as characterized by 2-3 product lines within one or more platforms, 2- 3 demand streams, i.E., complete goods, service parts, inter-factory, etc., up to 5 manufacturing processes, and average net sales between $2M and $1B. May supervise lower-level planning personnel.**Main Responsibilities**:- Ensures production plan for all demand streams does not exceed critical work center capacity.- Creates, maintains and publishes rolling 18-month production and material plan for all demand streams.- Coordinates or executes rough-cut capacity planning to validate production plan for all demand.- Develops daily schedules and sequenced lineup for whole goods.- Resolves material requirements planning exception messages for upper level bill of material assemblies, e.G., base machine and factory tops.- Ensures all factory demand requirements are accurately reflected in the production planning systems
