In 2021, Littelfuse had net sales of $2.1 billion.Reporting to the Production Planning Supervisor Manager, you as a Production Planner will be responsible for maximizing service levels while minimizing inventory levels, requisitioning of both purchased and manufactured component materials, expediting materials through production and the analysis of materials and the releasing of plans to plants.About the job:- Interface with Sales and Customer Service with regard to servicing and prioritizing customer orders as needed.- Analyze inventories to maintain lowest possible inventory level while still meeting customer order requirements and service levels (Fill Rates).- Analyze demand forecasts for products provided by Demand Management Group.- Establish master production schedules for finished good parts within capacity constraints.- Requisition purchased materials to meet Master Production Scheduling in quantity and timing.- Work directly with schedulers and production staff to establish business rules for order priorities and expedites.- Provide individual plants/production schedulers with weekly build schedule.- Planner will be responsible for checking material availability of all components prior to order firming.- Planner in conjuction with team leaders will be responsible for communicating issues out past the planning horizon that will have a significant impact on the plant scheduling operations.- Allow no past due's in the production schedule and expedite late STO's / Planned orders.- Investigate root cause to fill rate failures and ensure appropriate corrective actions are initiated and track solutions are executed on schedule.About you:- Bachelor or university degree- Background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as (but not limited to) Production Planning, Inventory Control Techniques, Material Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting, and Logistics is vital for person to successfully navigate the diverse business departments.- English.- Up to one year of experience.- Knowledge of BOM usage, structures and where used functionality.- Familiarity with manufacturing assembly process.- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing.- Familiarity with basic supply chain.- High attention to detail.- Strong communication skills.- Strong technical skills
