Division Overview

Hubbell Construction & Energy (HCE) focuses on products to support four business segments: Connectors, Grounding & Tooling, Gas Connectors & Accessories, Harsh & Hazardous, and Distribution.

**Position Overview**:

- The
- **Production Planning & Shop Floor Control Specialist **will play a key role in:
- Reviewing existing relevant business processes across HES to identify opportunities for standardization / adoption of best practice
- Prioritizing opportunities, selecting initiatives, gaining consensus across stakeholders and executing business process improvement projects
- Partnering with the Corporate Business Process team to assure alignment on process standardization and the adoption of best practice
- Drive improvement and ensure alignment with business needs
- This position will report to the Materials Management Systems Architect and work closely with HES operations, brand management, site-level management and customer service to drive standardization to support core business key metrics.
**Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS).
- Results-oriented with a track record of success in delivering on business objectives.
- Exceptional judgment with a demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all staff levels and backgrounds.
- Must have 5 years + experience in SAP across multiple functional areas including production / capacity planning, shop floor control and schedule attainment.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Identify key business processes and standardization / best practice opportunities.
- Assume leadership role to analyze processes, procedures and technologies available, translating into specific documented procedures and training programs to drive standardization.
- Being able to convert backlog of dependent and independent demand into planning tiers:

- Global scale: production plan by product group
- Master production schedule: production plan by product family
- Detailed scheduling: dispatch lists by work center and capacity planning.
- Ability to work on multi-site environments and diverse business scenarios: ETO, MTO & MTS, having to define and validate specific performance indicators for each of them.
- Participant and input provider for SIOP process to enhance demand planning, network optimization, and consumption models that provides superior customer service.
- Develop and maintain strong global relationships in a matrixed environment of business, corporate and cross functional levels.
- Work with the HES Master Data Management team to provide assistance and direction to ensure high data quality relative to the data needs of key business processes and performance management.
- Work with the Corporate Business Process team and HUBS IT to ensure solutions are scalable and utilize enterprise approved IT tools and infrastructure.
