**Position Overview**:
The Production Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the Production Director in overseeing the manufacturing operations within the company's facility in Mexico. This position involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and management of production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Production Planning and Coordination**:
- Assist in developing production plans and schedules to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate with the Production Director and other departments to allocate resources effectively and optimize production efficiency.
- **Process Improvement and Optimization**:
- Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify opportunities and areas for optimization.
- **Team Leadership and Development**:
- Support the Production Director in managing and supervising production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote a Safety-First culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Assist in managing inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- **Cost Control and Budget Management**:
- Assist in monitoring production costs and expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- **Continuous Improvement Initiatives**:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects, to drive operational excellence.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 Automotive Supplier.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the manufacturing industry.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)**
